A cookie is a very small text file
that a Web site can save to your computer's hard disk to store information that
you provide about yourself or to store your settings for the site. In addition,
you may use your the Microsoft?Passport Network to log into this site. The
Passport Network uses cookies to store your sign-in profile and to keep track
of sites you visit so it can sign you out of all of them when you click a Sign
Out link. All Passport Network cookies are encrypted to keep the information in
them secure, and when you sign out, the Passport Network deletes all of its
cookies from your computer. Furthermore, the Passport Network never stores your
address or credit card information in a cookie.
A cookie cannot be run like a program, nor can it deliver viruses. It is
uniquely yours, and it can only be read by the Web site that saved it to your
computer.
To enable your browser to accept cookies
Internet Explorer
1. Click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
2. Select the Security Tab at the top.
3. Select the Internet content zone, and then click the Custom Level button.
4. In the Settings area, find the Cookies section and select Enable.
To see the cookies on your hard drive
Internet Explorer 5
1. Click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
2. In the Temporary Internet Files section, click the Settings button.
3. In the Temporary Internet Files Folder section, click the View Files button.
A list of all cookies on your hard drive appears.
4. Double-click a cookie to open it.

1. Click View, and then click Internet Options.
